Hello stylish folks!!!
School is back in session and that means more fashion choices to be made on a daily basis for us students. Gone are the days when students just rolled out of bed and ran around campus to their early morning classes without giving much thought to their outfits or appearance in general. The campus environment hosts a plethora of personal styles ranging from the good, to the bad and the down right ridiculous. In my opinion, fashion is a universal language spoken by all, but some just have a better command of it than others. As a creative mind, i love to observe the ways in which people express themselves through fashion and clothing, this can sometimes be interesting and inspiring and often, very amusing.
Being a young fashion designer and illustrator, a lover of style and all things fashion, im always on the look out for something new. I have come to realize that the next best thing isn't always something new but could be an item uv had in your wardrobe for years. More recently fashion trends from past decades are making a huge come back. The full-on denim trend or the "denim craze" as i like to call it is characterized by wearing the fabric from head to toe. I must say that im guilty of making fun of this idea in the past but new and fun ways of wearing the trend have changed my opinion. Mixing textures and colours is a great way to create a stunning effect and this will keep you far from a fashion faux pas. The head to toe trend first appeared on the scene in the late 70's through 80's with looks like the Dungarees worn with a denim jacket over it. And in the 90's where some people took it a step further and made the denim tuxedo, oh boy!!! Thank God those days are over.

Flash forward to the present day, a more refined full-on denim look is being rocked by everyone, young and old alike, but mostly on campus. Its an easy and practical look to wear and when styled right can make a huge statement. Dress it up or dress it down, denim is the way to go. Today's stylish male or Fashionisto as I call it was seen on two occassions wearing a Chambray shirt, one time with black denim shorts accessorised with pin flares and a news boy hat and the other with a white T that's got a pop of red, and blue jeans. Till next time, STAY STYLISH, you never know who's watching.
Fierce love,
Francis.
